What is a Stab a long?
They work like this...
around 2 to 3 times a year a new kit is launched and we aim to make it at the same time, the lessons are leteither all together or in a weekly basis, sometimes we read a book or have a fundraiser sometimes it's just for fun either way we aim for a sense of community.
Copyright
I ask respectfully that you do not distribute these links or teach them as your own, this is my livelihood and something that has taken 30 years as a professional artist and tutor to hone.
I also ask that you do not replicate the kit or produce it for sale as a kit or on completion of the kit sell it as your own work. Just the same as if you had made something using a commercial sewing or knitting pattern you could not say it was designed and made by you. It was just made by you.
It is however OK to sell it stating that it is made using my kit. or if you have adapted it from one of my kits please state while posting/blogging about it in social media that it was inspired by me #inspiredbyemfountainfelts #stabthefluff etc. Credit where credit is due please.

The School of Fluff Stabbing
I am currently running a crowd funder for this, read on to find out why it's not all about me...
What I need...The fluff Stabbers need a Classroom and packing room! For those of you who follow me, you know my house has been over taken by fluff and is now full to bursting.
So in short I need a Static Caravan..(this is the cheapest option) so we can have our house back I can get organised and more efficiant!
How it is now...Our Kitchen is the room I run courses from and also use for packing, like for many of us, it the hub of the house but it is the only room we can use at the moment because the sitting room is used as the store room and what was the spare bedroom is now my studio and the bath is now constantly full of fleece being washed so even there is no longer sacred! There are now just under 1000 people who belong to the Facebook group Em's Fluff Stabbers and regularly have free tutorials, support and online classes. Physical classes continue to be popular and demand for both continues to grow. I am now in the process of converting a bus too so that I can more easily get to visit students and hold classes in that as well as it becoming affordable accommodation for those who need it.
How I would like it to be... As I said before, all classes are run from my Kitchen, , this is lovely but not always convienient, having the caravan would give me a dedicated teaching/working space where classes on all aspects of fibre art and needle felting can happen and I can invite specialist Tutors in to run their workshops here too. This will enable us to raise the educational standards of needle felting and to encourage people to push their own boundaries and explore all aspects of this wonderful media and other fibre arts.
As well as giving me a place to pack, work and teach in, it will also provide the oportuniy for the business to grow. I will be able to be organised and not have to waste time moving things from one place to another in order to run the business and our day to day lives. In short more Stab a longs and courses near and far...more fun for you and me!.
I like to share....I live on a self sufficient smallholding in Nidderdale which is part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Yorkshire, a most beautiful part of the world, with great views, peace and quiet. I share it with my folks, my husband and son.
We love it when other people come and have the opportunity to enjoy it too.
All inclusive.. I have a strong ethical policy. I want the joy of creating to be for everyone. This means I give free online courses and provide an ingredients list for those who find it difficult to purchase the kit, so you don't have to buy the kits even though this provides the income to do the lessons in the first place, but that means is that those who really need the creation process have access to it, I have found over the years that creation is what keeps people going, its a meditative process which is great for all of us but some of us need this more than others. Its also why when you have paid to go on a course everything is included in the price, your materials, equipment and food, there are no hidden extras!
For a gallery of what I do etc head to Stab the fluff, for access to online classes at Em's Fluff Stabbers on Facebook or visit my public Facebook profile emfelts
If you have enjoyed the stab a longs, one of my classes here or else where and feel you can help, I would be very greatfull.
