Intermediate Seabird Workshop
During this workshop you'll learn simple construction and finishing techniques to achieve your design aims.
Course Level Intermediate
The Seabirds Workshop is designed for Intermediate students who are looking to move away from following step by step kits and create their own work. Explore realistic or fibre led and more illustrational finishing techniques.
Skills Taught
During this workshop, you will learn
- Practical design considerations,
- Alternative finishes,
- Posing
- Finishes techniques and embellishments.
Prerequisites
To ensure that you get the most out of the course, pre-course work will be required. This will be delivered through video tutorials who's link will be emailed to you/available through your members area on the website a month before the course starts, allowing you to come to the course well-prepared and ready to dive into the creative bits.
It is essential that you have a moderate level of needle felting experience and have completed at least one advanced 5* course or equivalent. If in doubt please get in touch!
Materials
250 gms of carded slivers - Corriedale or similar
curls for wings or a selection of grey slivers
Mix of colours for beak feet etc.
